Last night I had the wish to sleep in the forest by my own, my way to celebrate the longest day in the year and summer beginning.
It was not my very first night outside. I've done outdoor sleeping many times… In the desert, in the moutains, in the jungle, in the snow, in the forest, at the beach etc. But I was never on my own.
So I packed my stuff and walked about 45 minutes into the forest around 9pm to a place I found last time where I will be quiet (no drunken humans partying around).
Prepared my "bed" and was welcomed by mosquitos, a deer and a splendid hawk.

The night was there. And I was getting ready to sleep listening to the sounds of the forest.
But all of the sudden a strange loud sound of an animal very close to me woke me up. I couldn't see anything but the sound was so unusual and not from that world (to me)… I couldn't figure it out what it was. A wild pig? No… It was like a strange bark, very unusual and sounded like a warning. I invaded his territory.

I new I wouldn't have a quite night at all and didn't want to fight all night with that strange animal. I must say I was really scared because I didn't know 't what it was and my imagination went crazy. That thing was very close, I could hear his steps and that strange barking not from that world. So I packed my stuff and walked through the dark forest back.

Now I guess I know what it was, a fox.

Haha…! Now I can laugh.
