process...

| During the process of layering, I take pictures of each stage because it helps me and gives me inspiration for future paintings. Underneath each layer there are several paintings hidden... I love this process. It is pure exploration, discovery and pleasure. Sometimes frustration yes, when a layer destroys a flow that was there...only to create a new one. As I am sick since past Saturday, I couldn't get out of bed to paint but as soon as I felt better, I ran into the studio to continue to work in this piece. It will be exhibited at two shows next year in February and March in Lake Havasu City AZ. I have a bunch of new canvases on the way and as soon as they arrive, I will be working like mad for the shows. It's my favorite part of it all. The shows are fun of course but there's nothing like the free creative flow expression onto canvas... |
